Privacy policy
Plain-English version: we're a small coupon site, not Big Tech. We collect as little as we can, we don't track you across the web, and we never sell your data.

1. Who we are
This privacy policy covers the website checked.coupons ("Checked Coupons", "we", "us"). The site is operated by PRIMERO.LINK LLC, which is responsible for the personal data processed on it.

2. The short list of what we collect

That's it. We don't create user accounts for visitors, and we don't collect payment data. Purchases happen on the brand's website, never on ours.
3. What we don't do
- No analytics or tracking tools. No Google Analytics, no pixels, no heatmaps.
- No ads and no ad networks.
- No third-party requests while you browse. Fonts, icons and scripts all come from our own server.
- No selling or sharing of personal data, for money or anything else, and no targeted advertising.
4. Cookies and browser storage
Browsing Checked Coupons sets no cookies.
- Forms: when you open or send the contact or submit form, the site sets one strictly necessary session cookie. It protects the form against abuse and expires after 30 minutes.
- Votes: when you answer "Did it work?", your browser remembers your answer in its local storage so you don't vote twice. It never leaves your device, and you can delete it by clearing your browser's site data.
Do Not Track: we don't track you across websites, so there's nothing for a Do Not Track signal to switch off. It changes nothing on our side.
5. When you click through to a brand
Offer links take you to the brand's own website, sometimes via an affiliate network. Once you leave our site, their privacy policy applies. The brand or network may set cookies to record that you came from us, so that they can pay us a commission. We don't receive your name, email or order details from them; at most we get a report that a sale or sign-up happened. More in our affiliate disclosure.
6. Who handles your data for us
- Hosting: our servers are run by netcup GmbH in Karlsruhe, Germany. Server logs and form messages are stored there.
- Email: messages from the contact form reach us by email through our email provider.
These providers only process data on our behalf and under contract. We don't share personal data with anyone else unless the law requires it.
7. Where your data lives
Our servers are in Germany, in the European Union. If you visit from the United States or elsewhere, your data is transferred to and stored in Germany. The operator of the site is based in the United States; where personal data leaves the EU, we use the safeguards the law requires, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
8. Your rights
Everybody, wherever you live, can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we have about you and give you a copy,
- correct it,
- delete it,
- stop using it for a particular purpose.
Write to ronny@checked.coupons. We may ask you to confirm your identity. We answer within 45 days, and we'll tell you if we need up to 15 more.
Florida residents: the Florida Digital Bill of Rights applies to much larger companies than ours, but we give you the same rights anyway: access, correction, deletion, a portable copy, and an appeal if we turn a request down. We don't sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of.
California residents: we don't sell or share personal information as defined by California law, and we don't use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
If you are in the EU, the EEA or the UK: the GDPR (or UK GDPR) gives you the rights above plus the right to data portability and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. We process server logs because we have a legitimate interest in running a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), and messages to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). You can also complain to a data protection authority, for example the one where you live.
We will never treat you differently for using your privacy rights.
9. Children
Checked Coupons is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child sent us personal data, contact us and we'll delete it.
10. Security and data breaches
The site only runs over encrypted HTTPS connections, the software is kept up to date, and access to server data is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we'll notify you and the authorities as the law requires, including the Florida Information Protection Act (Fla. Stat. § 501.171).
11. Changes
When we change this policy, we update the date at the top. If a change matters for you, we'll say so clearly on the site.
